My account of freedom is more like the Stoics' view, which bases freedom not in any ability to do otherwise or ability to do otherwise if we wanted to, but in the action being causes in a way that the trail of causation goes through the agent's decision-making process, provided some sort of qualifier about what counts as legitimately going through the agent's decision-making process in some natural-enough way.
