I loved sword fighting with my sister when I was a kid. For swords we used either wooden sticks or light plastic baseball bats. When we were on a trip to California and visited this Japanese place in San Francisco, we got these plastic Samurai swords to spar with. Those Samurai swords were quite cool. When we fought, both of us believed that we were fighting a "just war". :-)
By the way, speaking about just wars, I am reading the prison writings of the Blessed Franz Jagerstatter who refused to serve in the German army during World War II.
You might consider PVC pipe for the core. It's not so heavy.
ReplyDeleteAlso, "just war" LOL.
That's what the ones I saw on Amazon have, but at least one review complains that they break.
ReplyDeleteCarbon fiber would be better. :-)
There would be a lot fewer jus in bello problems if everybody was equipped just with these.
