My ten year old and I developed a roll of 35mm film that I shot over the past year in my grandfather's Voigtlander Vito I camera. I've never developed film before.
yes, it is pricey, the look of digital photography is not as aesthetically pleasing or as much fun, but yeah, the price of film and all the accessories. i was able to use film and develop cost free for four years at university. that was fun.

Mostly, I'm just on a budget, and wouldn't shoot much film if I had to pay development costs.
