Cleanliness is next to godliness

There is an interesting study on the effects of clean smells on virtuous behavior.

Ha! That is just ridiculous.

As ridiculous as that study about how the Apple logo makes you more creative?

Aye, we are not disembodied minds.

Much more ridiculous. Virtue and creativity are so different. I've noticed (without doing a study of course) that creativity is in some way contagious. For example, after recently listening to Pearl Jam's new album, Backspacer, and reading the lyrics and admiring the artwork, I was feeling very creative. The same thing happens when I read a new philosophy paper, if it's really insightful. (Eleonore Stump's work does it to me again and again.)

Didn't Nietzsche emphasize that our surroundings really affect us? I'm sure Nietzsche would be a Mac guy.
