One could read this as "the set of things that are unknown is not well known to us". In other words, we only vaguely know what it is we don't know and need to learn.
I was having fun with all this, but on a serious note: what is known and what is unknown, can anyone really or truly say? I think in either case it is impossible to say. I Google searched: what is known? and it gave me a definition of "known" not what is known. So if Google doesn't know, what or who does? And as for the unknown, I wouldn't know where to start.
