The unreality of time

McTaggart argued that time is unreal. Hence, time is real.

Is this supposed to be of the form, "McTaggart argued that P, therefore not-P"? Geez, that's hard on the guy. Or is it supposed to be of the form, "X occurred in the past, therefore time is real"? More plausible, but less perspicuous.
